Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of SCOPE – Skin Care in Organ Transplant Patients Europe – it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 23rd SCOPE Meeting in Hamburg from May 27 to 30, 2027.
The number of organ transplant recipients and patients living with long-term immunosuppression continues to grow, and with it the burden of skin cancer and cutaneous infections in this vulnerable population. Providing the best possible care for these patients requires close collaboration between dermatologists, transplant physicians, oncologists, nurses and researchers – exactly what SCOPE stands for.
Our scientific program reflects this spirit. It covers the status quo of skin cancer and prevention in immunosuppressed patients, translational insights, health services research, infections and skin barrier integrity as well as the latest advances in clinical skin cancer care. Three keynote lectures by renowned experts will open new perspectives. In the International SCOPE Tumor Board we will discuss challenging cases together, and the workshop “Handling and skin care of immunosuppressed patients and SOTR in my country” offers a unique look at care across Europe and beyond. The Free Communications give young researchers the stage for their latest work.
The meeting opens on Thursday with the first sessions at our congress hotel, the Dorint Hotel Hamburg-Eppendorf. On Friday and Saturday, the scientific program continues at the Erika-Haus on the campus of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, just a few steps away. Beyond the lecture hall, Hamburg – with its harbour, the Elbphilharmonie and its maritime charm – offers the perfect setting for our networking events, for meeting old friends and making new ones.
We would like to thank all speakers, chairs, members of the committees and our sponsors, whose commitment makes this meeting possible.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hamburg!
